Corn on the Cob Recipe: Tender and Juicy Perfection

Corn on the cob is a timeless BBQ side dish that never fails to impress. But to achieve that perfect, tender bite, the secret lies in boiling the corn before grilling it. This method ensures that the kernels are soft and juicy, while the grill adds a delicious smoky char.

➡ Boiled and Grilled Corn on the Cob Recipe

For the best corn on the cob, boiling first helps ensure a tender and juicy bite that’s then enhanced by the smoky flavors of the grill.

Ingredients:

6 ears of corn, husked

Water

Salt (optional, for boiling)

Butter (for serving)

Salt and pepper (for seasoning)

Instructions:

1. Boil the Corn:
Fill a large pot with water, enough to fully submerge the corn. Bring it to a boil over high heat. Add a pinch of salt to the water, if desired. Once the water is boiling, carefully place the husked corn cobs in the pot. Boil for about 5-7 minutes, or until the corn is tender.

2. Prepare the Grill:
While the corn is boiling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

3. Grill the Corn:
After boiling, carefully remove the corn from the water and let it cool slightly. Place the corn on the preheated grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kernels develop a nice golden char.

4. Serve:
Once grilled, remove the corn from the grill and immediately slather with butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste, or get creative with additional toppings like grated Parmesan, garlic butter, or herbs.

Enjoy your perfectly tender, juicy corn on the cob with a smoky grilled flavor that’ll be the star of your BBQ spread!
