Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). This will be your marinade.
2. Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you're using a charcoal grill, allow the coals to burn down to a medium heat.
4. Remove the pork chops from the marinade, discarding the excess marinade. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel to prevent flare-ups on the grill.
5. Season the pork chops with a pinch of salt and place them on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) using a meat thermometer.
6. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the pork chops with your favorite BBQ sauce to add a glossy, tangy finish. Allow the sauce to caramelize on the grill.
7. Once cooked through, remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
8. Serve hot with your favorite sides and enjoy the delicious, smoky flavors.
These BBQ pork chops are tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The marinade infuses the meat with a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and tangy, while the BBQ sauce adds a delicious sticky finish that everyone will love. Serve them alongside grilled veggies, mashed potatoes, or a refreshing salad for a complete meal that will wow your guests!
